The intention is to question the understanding of meaning by drawing attention to different factors that either support or oppose the relevance of meaning. What is relevant, what is erroneous, and what should be reassessed?, these are the questions that mark the starting point for this sequence of paintings .
Notes on the construction of the paintings: 1. puzzle-like reproductions of scanned accidental paintings, aims at achieving an almost photographic ensorcellment. 2. a triangular grid, digitally recomposing and reproducing the paintings, questioning the gravity of the original work. 3. aggressive gestural brushstrokes to erase the painting's digital referent. 4. systematic language that opposes the abstract patterning communication. 5. the composition of small cryptic poems that emanate from the elimination of meaning from the original sources (various philosophical essays) 6. the vortex loops that propose to eliminate even further the aforementioned abstraction. |
